Saturday 13 October 2012
10.00am to 4.00pm
Cottenham Village College, High Street, Cottenham, Cambridge CB24 8UA
As you will no doubt already be aware, over the last few years, our exhibition has been subject to slow but steady decline as the number of active branches in the region has diminished. The inevitable result is that I regret having to announce that the forthcoming exhibition on 13th October 2012 will be our last. However, it will also be the 25th Anniversary of the East Anglian Sugarcraft Exhibition and with your continued help and support we intend to make it a really good show and a fitting Grand Finale!
We are keen that more groups enter a display this year so the theme is ‘Pot Luck’. This means that you have totally free rein when creating your table displays. Perhaps you already have something suitable in hand or maybe have been nursing an urge to create a certain display that was not entirely appropriate to the chosen theme in previous years? So groups with members who have suitable items stored away need only produce the required number of pieces as specified in the schedule in order to complete a table display. An eclectic mix of the very best pieces your members can produce will be fine. Here is a real opportunity to put your combined talents on display and come up with something that will end the Exhibition with a real flourish.
This year’s Individual Competition Schedule contains something for all and successful entrants who win trophies will be able to keep them as a permanent reminder of the skills they demonstrated at our final exhibition!
As I write, we await final confirmation of the demonstrators who will be attending this year’s show so check the website for details. There are a healthy number and wide range of traders that have already confirmed they will be joining us. We look forward to your continued support on this final occasion. Show us what your members can do when the choice is entirely theirs and help us end 25 years of the East Anglian Sugarcraft Exhibition with a display of talent to remember. And for those who may find themselves unable to take part this year for whatever reason – our sincere thanks to you all for your valued support in previous years.
